The Centre for the Development of Digital Skills (Cesae Digital), launched in Porto, expects to have 1000 trainees by the end of the year, plus 200 unemployed adults in training and more 450 from companies.

Cesae Digital is the new Centre for Vocational Training oriented towards Digital Transformation and the Qualification of People and Organisations in Digital Competences and is the successor of Cesae - Centre for Services and Support to Enterprises, which has been working in vocational training for unemployed people and companies for 30 years.

Cesae Digital, which was presented by AEP - Associação Empresarial de Portugal (Portuguese Business Association) and the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, has a team of more than 200 trainers.

In 2020, Cesae Digital will promote training actions of double certification for young people and will maintain the activity of Qualifica centre, in partnership with companies in the certification of adults, to increase the qualification levels of the active population.

Within the planned activities, one must mention the Technological Specialization Courses (CETS), the Actions for Social Inclusion and other that might be deemed necessary to face the effects of the pandemic crisis and the foreseeable increase in the number of unemployed people.

The creation of Cesae Digital, which arose from an agreement signed in 2019 between the Ministry of Labour and AEP, was published in National Official Journal.
