At this difficult time, several institutions have made available a wide range of free courses, which tend to include a variety of digital competence courses. The lockdown Spain is experiencing, in which many have had to work from home, has reiterated the importance of updating our digital skills in order to enhance our employability. We have listed a series of initiatives that may be of your interest:

The National Distance Education University (UNED) with the initiative #yomeformoencasa (I get trained from home) has made available during the current situation of pandemic several online courses. There is a wide range of digital competence courses adjusted to different levels:

The Foundation for Quality and Innovation in Training and Employment, with the collaboration of AEGEF, CECAP and ANCED, has launched the campaign #AprovéchaloFórmate (Take advantage of it, get trained). The initiative encourages all citizens, and especially those directly affected by the labour measures adopted as a result of the COVID-19 crisis, to take advantage of the lockdown to learn new skills. On digital competences, you can find: a course on basic communication tools and internet security, a course on operating system configuration and information search management, and cyber security courses among others. Re-activate.online is an initiative of Innovation and Qualification, which in collaboration with training centres, seeks to respond to the current situation and reduction of professional activity. More specifically this initiative, is an online training platform which aims that professionals can receive free training in digital transformation on specific professional areas. Coursera offers free online courses during COVID-19. While many Coursera courses are already available for free, this initiative allows you to take the courses, their summative assessments, and additionally receive the certificate of completion, everything for free.
